CACAR Mission Statement
The Chinese American Cultural Association of Rockland (CACAR) is a non-profit, non-political, cultural organization established in 1972 to promote and advance the diverse cultural heritage of the Chinese community in Rockland and its surrounding communities. We provide a learning center for anyone who wants to learn Chinese and its culture.
The increase in cultural awareness enables the Chinese American children to make greater contributions to society and thus achieve a more productive assimilation into American society.
A further goal of the CACAR is to introduce the essence of Chinese culture to the American public to promote inter-cultural understanding.
